Leonel Fernández critica “partidocracia” en escogencia de directivos de gremios sindicales y profesionales
Santo Domingo.- El expresidente Leonel Fernández criticó este mediodía la “partidocracia” existente en los gremios de la sociedad civil que incide en la elección de sus directivos en base al predominio político y no por los méritos.
El exmandatario citó casos específicos como son el Colegio Médico (CMD), la Asociación Dominicana de Profesores (ADP), y la rectoría de la Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) entre otros gremios profesionales y sindicales,
“Para usted ser presidente del Colegio Médico tiene que ser del PLD, del PRD o de cualquier partido, yo creo que esto no debe ser así. Yo creo que el presidente de los médicos debe ser presidente por sus méritos profesionales por encima de todo”, expresó Fernandez.
La crítica fue hecha durante una ponencia que pronunció en la XXXIII Reunión Plenaria de la Conferencia Permanente de Partidos Políticos de América Latina y el Caribe, comentó que cuando el Partido de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD) logró recientemente reelegir a su postulante en la presidencia de la ADP, los compañeros de la organización llegaron donde él entusiasmados.
“Y yo le pregunto al compañero (Radhamés) Camacho: Ya ganamos, ¿y ahora qué?… Ahora que ya ganamos yo quisiera ver que presenten un programa donde se diga: Nosotros vamos a mejorar la calidad de la educación en la República Dominicana sobre la base de hacer a, b, c y d, y ese programa no existe, entonces, ¿para qué ganamos?”, cuestionó el líder político.
Ayer, el pediatria Waldo Ariel Suero fue elegido presidente del Colegio Médico. Suero, quien ha dirigido en otras ocasiones ese gremio, habría sido apoyado por partidos de la oposición.
El también presidente del PLD afirmó que las autoridades de la UASD deben escogerse sin influencia del partido mayoritario y que lo fundamental sea la calidad científica del liderazgo.
“Tenemos que dejar que la universidad escoja conforme a su cuerpo docente”, enfatizó.
Fernández llamó a replantearse estas ideas porque de lo contrario “alguien está viendo el vacío que estamos teniendo y lo van llenando” -en referencia a la sociedad civil-, que termina cuestionando la autoridad, y “al final quedamos descalificados”.
Entiende que no se debe ver a la sociedad civil como una amenaza permanente, sino que su conflicto debe ser colaborar con los partidos en la resolución de problemas para que haya convergencia para trabajar por el bien común.
