Modernización del patrullaje y control del tránsito
“La Dirección General de Seguridad de Tránsito y Transporte Terrestre (Digesett) anunció ayer la incorporación de 700 nuevos agentes que contarán con cámaras corporales”, como parte de una estrategia de modernización en la supervisión y dirección del tránsito vehicular.
“Iniciamos el lanzamiento de 700 nuevos agentes que han sido capacitados y entrenados, y obedecen al nuevo modelo de patrullaje de la Policía Nacional”, indicó el director de comunicaciones de la Digesett, coronel Rafael Tejeda Baldera, al destacar que esta medida busca fortalecer la transparencia y eficiencia en el control del tránsito.
Durante una entrevista en el programa “Matutino Su Mundo”, Tejeda explicó que estos agentes forman parte del nuevo modelo de patrullaje impulsado por la Policía Nacional.
Aseguró que la problemática del tránsito está siendo abordada al más alto nivel gubernamental, y que esta iniciativa forma parte de una serie de acciones escalonadas como respuesta a una “preocupación de Estado”.
“Estas cámaras corporales tienen como propósito garantizar una mejor supervisión de las actuaciones de los agentes”, aseguró. “En situaciones de tránsito, permitirán tener evidencia rápida sobre el comportamiento de los agentes durante los incidentes”.
Retiro de parqueadores informales y fiscalización del estacionamiento
Tejeda informó que, en coordinación con la Policía Nacional, a partir del próximo lunes iniciará el retiro de parqueadores informales en distintas vías del país, para hacer cumplir las normas de estacionamiento.
“Vamos a trabajar en lo que son los parqueos inadecuados o indebidos. Si ve una señal de ‘no estacione’, no lo haga, o su vehículo será remarcado”, advirtió el vocero.
Recordó que las señales verticales y la pintura amarilla en los contenes indican zonas prohibidas para estacionarse, y advirtió que se remolcarán los vehículos que violen estas normas, como parte de las medidas para viabilizar el tránsito en las principales ciudades del país.
Coordinación interinstitucional y planificación vial
Tejeda destacó que el director de la Digesett, general Pascual Cruz Méndez, lidera una mesa de trabajo interinstitucional con alcaldías, INTRANT, CAASD y demás instituciones que intervienen en las vías públicas.
“El objetivo es establecer una planificación coordinada de los trabajos en las vías”, señaló. “Buscamos poder anunciar con tiempo los trabajos de instituciones como EDES o CAASD, para que la ciudadanía tome previsiones”.
Indicó que habrá seguimiento permanente a los espacios críticos para garantizar la viabilidad del tránsito y evitar estacionamientos indebidos, subrayando que esta será una medida continua en beneficio de la ciudadanía.
Detalló que el operativo ya inició en el sector Don Bosco, en respuesta al clamor de la comunidad, y se ampliará hacia otros sectores, pasando de una fase informativa a una fase operativa.
“Este tipo de práctica no está bajo los lineamientos de la institución, y no se apoyan estas acciones; deben ser corregidas”, afirmó.
Nuevos horarios y cumplimiento imparcial de las normas
Tejeda también se refirió al cambio de horario en las instituciones públicas como una medida que será implementada, con el objetivo de analizar su impacto en la movilidad.
“El tránsito es muy cambiante, tiene un componente conductual. No mejora de un día para otro, y requiere una gestión constante”, explicó.
Subrayó que la Digesett actúa con imparcialidad al aplicar las infracciones, sin distinguir entre clases sociales.
Recordó que los motoristas lideran las estadísticas de infracciones, pero insistió en que la ley se aplica por igual a todos los ciudadanos.
Finalmente, reiteró que los nuevos agentes son policías especializados en tránsito y asignados a la Digesett para transformar la movilidad en el país.
