Actriz dominicana Dasha Polanco dice acusaciones casi le arruinan la vida y la carrera

NUEVA YORK._ La actriz dominicana y estrella de la serie “Orange is New Color” (Naranja es el Nuevo Color” de Nexflit, confesó las acusaciones y el arresto del que fue objeto por acusaciones de supuesta agresión a la adolescente Michelle Cardona, quien le imputó haberla golpeado en el apartamento de la primera en el Alto Manhattan, casi le arruina la vida y la carrera.
La actriz, dijo que durante el proceso judicial, estuvo deprimida y triste y reiteró que Cardona, es una extorsionista que provocó el incidente, para luego exigirle entre $5.000 a $6.000 dólares, para retirar los cargos.
Las acusaciones, hicieron que marcas famosas de ropas como “Old Navy” las que ella modelaba, se negaran a que desfilara en la alfombra roja con los vestuarios, lo que también hicieron joyerías y otras compañías comerciales de renombre mundial.
Polanco, reveló que también el diseñador de joyas David Yurman le dijo que “No podemos trabajar con usted hasta que esto aclare”.
Relató que cuando se presentó voluntariamente al cuartel 34 en el Alto Manhattan, respondiendo a una llamada de un detective, fue fichada. “Me tomaron las huellas dactilares y me hicieron fotos, para chequear mi récord”.
Sostuvo que fue hasta difícil mostrar su cara cuando caminaba por la alfombra roja en el estreno de la película “Love and Happiness”.
Añadió la actriz que “me quería morir”, recordando que nunca había tenido un solo problema con la policía o judicial, y nunca fue expulsada de la escuela, por indisciplina o mala conducta.
Cardona, acusó a la actriz de haberla halado por el pelo, golpearla con el puño cerrado en la cara y los brazos.
La fiscalía, acordó concederle libertad condicional a Polanco por seis meses, a condición de sellar el caso y retirar los cargos, si no se mete en nuevos problemas.
Ella narró que acudió al cuartel 34, porque un abogado le dijo que lo único que tendría que hacer era pagar una multa “y problema resuelto”.
Pero su odisea en los tribunales se extendió y tuvo que dar varios viajes a la corte, respondiendo a las citaciones respecto al caso.
Polanco de 33 años de edad, quien nació en la República Dominicana y llegó niña a Nueva York, se crió en el vecindario Sunset Park de Brooklyn y es hija de un mecánico y una cosmetóloga.
Estudió en Hunter College, donde hizo un grado en psicología y trabajó en el hospital Montefiore de El Bronx, haciendo la pasantía para convertirse en enfermera, cuando decidió tomar clases de actuación.
Participó como actriz invitada en capítulos de algunas series de televisión como “Unforgettable” (Inolvidable) y “NYC 22” (Ciudad de Nueva York 22), con mucho éxito para ganarse el papel de una presa en la serie de Netflix.
La actriz dice que durante meses, Cardona la acosó, “acercándose a las personas que la conocen para enviarles mensajes en los que le exigía el dinero.
“Dile que nos de esa cantidad y vamos a tumbar los cargos”, habría dicho Cardona a personas no identificadas por la actriz.
