UASD firma convenio con Universidad Trier
Santo Domingo.- La Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASDen el que establece promover la educación internacional a través del intercambio de estudiantes, sobre la base de los principios de la reciprocidad y beneficio mutuo.
El acuerdo fue firmado en el Salón del Consejo Universitario de la Academia Estatal Dominicana, por el rector de la UASD, Iván Grullón y por el doctor Andre Klump, Catedrático de Lingüística de la Universidad de Trier.
En el mismo se contempla desarrollar y motivar otras formas de beneficio de cooperación mutua, tales como intercambio de docentes y personal administrativo.
Durante la firma del convenio, el rector Grullón expresó que se siente satisfecho no sólo porque surge la oportunidad de establecer vínculos con una academia fundada en el año 1537, es decir, un año antes que la UASD (1538), sino también porque Alemania es un país rico en cultura y puede contribuir al acervo cultural de los estudiantes beneficiarios del intercambio.
De su lado, el Lingüista Andre Klump agradeció la receptividad de las autoridades de la Universidad Primada de América en la persona de su rector Grullón Fernández, de la doctora Clara Benedicto, Directora General de Cooperación y Relaciones Nacionales e Internacionales de la UASD, así como de la maestra Altagracia Suero, Directora de la Escuela de Idiomas, presentes en la actividad.
Durante la firma del convenio la comunidad alemana se hizo representar además, por las señoras Christine Felbeck, Filóloga especializada en literatura hispánica y dominicana y Stefanie Waldtmann, Oficial de Cultura y Relaciones Públicas de la Embajada de la República Federal de Alemania.
