Rescatan grupo de mujeres, que era explotada sexualmente en un bar de San Martin
Santo Domingo.- Las autoridades dominicanas y de San Martín rescataron a un grupo de mujeres, entre ellas trece dominicanas que presuntamente eran explotadas sexualmente en un bar conocido como “Casa Blanca”, uno de los negocios de su naturaleza más concurridos de la citada isla, según informó la Fiscalía del Distrito Nacional.
La Procuraduría Especializada contra el Tráfico Ilícito de Migrantes y Trata de Personas, y la Fiscalía del Distrito Nacional han realizado los trabajos de investigación con respecto al caso, mediante cooperación internacional, precisó en un comunicado de prensa esta última institución.
Se explicó que en el allanamiento se incautaron de seis armas de fuego, equipos digitales, documentos y una cantidad no especificada de dinero. Fueron arrestados los dueños del negocio, cuyos nombres aún no han sido dados a conocer y tres personas que presuntamente están involucradas en el caso.
“Esta acción marca un hito en cuanto a la persecución del delito y la protección de las víctimas a nivel transnacional”, indicó la Fiscalía del Distrito Nacional.
La comunicación expresa que la procuradora fiscal Alba Corona, directora del Departamento de Trata y Tráfico de Personas del Distrito Nacional e investigadores dominicanos se encuentran en la isla San Martín realizando los trabajos de investigación.
“Hacia San Martín hay un flujo considerable de mujeres dominicanas que han sido víctimas de trata de personas desde hace varias décadas y con el cierre de este negocio evitamos que muchas lleguen a ser víctimas de este delito que les deja graves secuelas en sus vidas”, manifestó el magistrado Jonathan Baró, director de la Procuraduría Especializada que combate este delito.
