Santo Domingo.- La Oficina Nacional de Meteorología anuncia una disminución significativa de las lluvias por el alejamiento de la actividad de la onda tropical.
Meteorología indica que la activa onda tropical continúa alejándose de la República Dominicana, localizándose actualmente sobre Jamaica y el amplio campo nuboso que le acompaña para el día de hoy dejara de incidir sobre nuestra área de pronóstico,.
En tal sentido, se pronostica una disminución significativas de las lluvias en gran parte del país, solo ocurrirán algunos aguaceros locales con aisladas tronadas en horas de la tarde hacia varias provincias de la parte sureste, la cordillera Central y la zona fronteriza debido a humedad rezagada de la onda y los efectos locales propios de la isla.
Para mañana una vaguada en los niveles medios de la atmósfera se estaría moviendo desde Puerto Rico hacia nuestro territorio y se combinará con la humedad aportada por los vientos alisios y los efectos locales para que se produzca un incremento de la nubosidad en la tarde y se originen chubascos dispersos con aisladas tronadas en algunas localidades de la cordillera Central, zona fronteriza y la región sureste.
Debido a la reducción de las lluvias durante el día de hoy, la Oficina Nacional de Meteorología (ONAMET), descontinúa el AVISO meteorológico por desbordamientos de ríos, arroyos y cañadas, inundaciones, así como, deslizamiento de tierra hacia las provincias: Peravia, Azua, Pedernales, San Pedro de Macorís, Monte Plata, San José de Ocoa, el Gran Santo Domingo y San Cristóbal, también, se descontinúa el ALERTA meteorológico por las mismas condiciones para La Altagracia, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, La Romana, Duarte, María Trinidad Sánchez y Santiago, solo se mantiene en alerta meteorológico para Independencia y Barahona.
La ONAMET continúa dándole seguimiento a la onda tropical que presenta una probabilidad alta (alrededor de un 80%) para convertirse en ciclón tropical en las próximas 48 horas.
En cuanto a las costas, se mantiene la recomendación a las frágiles, pequeñas y medianas embarcaciones que deben permanecer en puerto en todo el litoral costero del país, ya que el oleaje se encuentra peligro y olas superiores a 6 pies de alturas pudieran estar llegando a la costa.
