Los Premios Goya 2021 se celebrarán el 27 de febrero
Santo Domingo.- La 35 edición de los Premios Goya se celebrará el sábado 27 de febrero de 2021, anunció hoy, martes, la Academia de Cine en un comunicado.
La Academia española mantiene así el calendario previsto y anuncia que “próximamente” informará de los detalles de la gala en la que se entregarán los Goya, entre ellos la ciudad que la acogerá el año próximo.
La decisión fue anunciada tras una reunión virtual que mantuvo hoy la junta directiva de la institución que preside Mariano Barroso para evaluar la situación tras la pandemia del coronavirus, que alteró el calendario internacional de estrenos y ceremonias.
Así, ayer mismo la Asociación de la Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood anunció que los Globos de Oro, que tradicionalmente se celebran a principios de enero, se pospondrán al 28 de febrero, es decir, un día después de los Goya.
La Academia de Hollywood también anunció la semana pasada que los Oscar se entregarán el 25 de abril de 2021, dos meses después de lo previsto, y la Academia Británica de las Artes Cinematográficas y de la Televisión ha aplazado los Bafta hasta el 11 de abril.
El cierre de las salas de cine en todo el mundo, a causa de la pandemia del coronavirus, obligó a retrasar estrenos y a que algunos títulos -pocos- vayan directamente a las plataformas.
Por este motivo la Academia anunció el pasado 11 de mayo que los Goya 2021 aceptarán, de manera excepcional, películas a competición que se hayan visto obligadas a estrenarse directamente en VOD como consecuencia de la pandemia.
En España los cines van reabriendo poco a poco en las últimas semanas. El próximo viernes se estrena la primera película española post-pandemia, “La cinta de Álex” y otras ya tienen confirmada fecha de lanzamiento para las semanas siguientes.
