Los 1,570 kilos de droga en buque involucran a exlugartenientes de Florián Féliz y Quirino
SANTO DOMINGO. Los exlugartenientes de los narcotraficantes Rolando Florián Féliz y Quirino Paulino Castillo, retomaron las rutas y los negocios de sus antiguos jefes y han estado operando a sus anchas en los últimos años, logrando introducir y sacar toneladas de cocaína por el territorio dominicano.
Se espera que en las próximas horas la Fiscalía del Distrito Nacional solicite prisión preventiva contra Bienvenido Guevara Díaz (Maconi), exlugarteniente de Paulino Castillo, apresado el jueves en un centro comercial, así como a los también detenidos Dante Meraldo Medina, quien fue condenado en el 1996 junto a Florián Féliz, y a su hijo Dante Wilfredo Medina Ozuna (Dantico).
Los apresados junto a Maconi son de Paraíso, Barahona, al igual que la mayoría de dominicanos apresados con 1,570 kilogramos de cocaína ocupados la pasada semana en aguas internacionales a quienes ayer la jueza de la Oficina de Atención Permanente del Distrito Nacional, Evelyn Rodríguez, les impuso un año de prisión preventiva por el cargamento que llegó en un buque de combustible.
Maconi, quien hace apenas hace tres años regresó al país tras cumplir condena en Estados Unidos por este delito, fue rastreado por más de 50 interceptaciones telefónicas autorizadas el 28 de noviembre la jueza de la Oficina de Atención Permanente de Santo Domingo Oeste, Leonarda Quezada Belén, además de labores de inteligencia, vigilancias electrónicas y seguimiento.
El venezolano José Quijada Salazar; los colombianos Silvio Ibarra Vega y Manuel Escobar Bolaños; el cubano Pedro Betancourt Tabio; el nicaragüense Joel Ponce Ordóñez, el hondureño Marbin Lambert Harry; los dominicanos Salvador Gómez Cuevas, René Cuesta Féliz, Fermín Samboy Cuevas, Damérides Gómez Saldaña, Elvis Langomás Medina y Teurison Valenzuela Samboy, fueron enviados a cumplir la prisión en la cárcel de La Victoria. Durante la audiencia, los representantes del Ministerio Público habían solicitado a la jueza declarar complejo el caso, lo que les permitiría tener más tiempo para desarrollar su investigación, sin embargo la magistrada rechazó esa solicitud, ya que en la solicitud de medida de coerción no contemplaba dicho pedimento.
Los abogados de los 12 supuestos narcos aseguran que sus defendidos no tienen nada que ver con el cargamento de droga, y que los mismos sólo eran empleados de la embarcación Kaluba, registro No. IMO6828753.
De acuerdo con la medida de coerción, el Ministerio Público y la Dirección Nacional de Control de Drogas escucharon 25 conversaciones, en las cuales “Maconi” hacía referencia a los movimientos del barco, 22 en donde Dante Meraldo hablaba del mismo y tres en las que “Dantico” también se refería a la embarcación.
La nave fue interceptada por los organismos de investigación a finales de diciembre a 200 millas náuticas de las aguas internacionales por el servicio de guardacostas encontrándose 12 tripulantes a bordo. En él había, además, 75 sacos de nylon que tenían los paquetes con la droga en un compartimento secreto del tanque de combustible número 6.
La instancia detalla que en el operativo conjunto de la Armada de República Dominicana, el Servicio de Guardacostas de los Estados Unidos y la DNCD fueron capturados los miembros de la organización que introducía a República Dominicana cantidades indeterminadas de drogas vía marítima, utilizando tanqueros de combustible de gasoil.
Entre los apresados junto a Ernesto Bienvenido Guevara Díaz (Maconi) por las autoridades antidrogas del país, figura Dante Meraldo Medina, señalado como “lugarteniente” de Rolando Florián Féliz, muerto por un custodia el 16 de mayo del 2009 en la cárcel de Najayo.
En 1994, Meraldo Medina, como capitán de la nave Phoenix donde fueron ocupados 953 kilos de cocaína, fue apresado en Barahona y luego condenado junto a Florian Féliz y otras personas.
Según fuentes ligadas a la investigación del alijo de 1,570 kilos de cocaína decomisado en el buque Kaluba, dijeron a Diario Libre que el exintegrante del grupo de quien fue vinculado al cartel de Cali en América Latina, nunca ha perdido los contactos con otros señalados como narcotraficantes de la República Dominicana.
