Investigación de corrupción en Brasil enfrenta riesgo de sabotaje
La investigación anticorrupción sin precedentes de Brasil corre el riesgo de ser saboteada por intereses políticos arraigados, advirtió su principal investigador. La semana pasada, la legislatura de Río de Janeiro anuló un fallo judicial que había mandado al presidente de su Cámara de Representantes, Jorge Picciani, a la cárcel, y recientemente hubo un cambio controvertido del jefe de la policía federal.
“Cuando vemos el poder de estos grandes intereses y a los políticos uniéndose en contra de Lava Jato, lo primero que pensamos es que sólo es cuestión de tiempo antes de que puedan limitar a los investigadores, destruir las herramientas de las investigaciones y anular las condenas”, aseveró el Sr. Dallagnol, refiriéndose a la operación Lava Jato, que desde su inicio en 2014 ha detenido a más de 280 personas.
Los críticos han acusado al Sr. Dallagnol y al juez Sérgio Moro de la corte federal en Curitiba de investigar, arrestar y condenar a los acusados arbitrariamente a través de acuerdos de culpabilidad y de sacar sus propias conclusiones de sus pruebas.
El Sr. Lula da Silva, el expresidente de izquierda quien fue sentenciado a nueve años y medio de cárcel, ha criticado al Sr. Dallagnol y otros fiscales de Lava Jato como “mocosos”.
