El IX Festival Internacional de Teatro 2016 inaugurado muestra lo mejor de la dramaturgia de América Latina

Santo Domingo.- El Ministerio de Cultura (MINC) inauguró el IX Festival Internacional de Teatro Santo Domingo 2016 (FITESD), con homenajes a figuras señeras de las tablas de República Dominicana, y la dedicatoria del evento a la Compañía Nacional de Teatro por sus más de 70 años de existencia. La Fiesta escénica se extenderá hasta el 27 de este mes.
El acto inaugural se realizó en el auditorio Juan Bosch, de la Biblioteca Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña, y estuvo encabezado por el ministro de Cultura, cantautor José Antonio Rodríguez; Dustin Muñoz, subdirector de Bellas Artes, junto a la directora del Festival de Teatro, Karina Noble, Cayo Claudio Espinal, viceministro del Min, y Geovanny Cruz, director de la Compañía Nacional de Teatro.
Otras personalidades del Teatro que acudieron al evento fueron Teo Terrero, Jensy Pichardo, Augusto Feria, Iván García, Jonie Mercedes, Basilio Nova y Freddy Ginebra, director de Casa de Teatro.
Al pronunciar las palabras centrales del acto, el ministro Rodríguez dijo que “el teatro dominicano vive un presente que nos satisface, al tiempo que se augura, por su madurez, un futuro promisorio”. Dijo que el FITE 2016 es una muestra del mejor teatro de América Latina, pues participan grupos representativos de unos de los 10 países más representativos de este género artístico.
“Arribamos al IX Festival Internacional de Teatro, dedicado a la Compañía Nacional de Teatro, que incluye un homenaje precisamente a Cristóbal de Llerena, una exposición fotográfica que se remonta prácticamente a sus orígenes y muchas otras cosas más”, expresó.
En seguida, añadió que el Ministerio de Cultura, en todos sus estamentos, siente una profunda alegría, al celebrar junto a los teatristas y al pueblo dominicano amante del teatro, este nuevo festival.
Además, hizo votos porque abunden las obras de teatro que permitan, a quienes han tomado en serio este trabajo, una vida digna. “Pero una vida digna no sólo en términos materiales, sino una que se sienta plena, cuando al bajar el telón, la sala se inunde en aplausos…. Aplausos que lleguen al alma”.
Habló también en el acto, la directora del Festival, actriz Karina Noble, quien llena de entusiasmo, expresó que, “este festival cumplió la mayoría de edad, 19 años, y en estas cuatro ediciones que me ha tocado dirigir, se convierte en un referente en la escena latinoamericana”.
En su discurso, resaltó como un gran logro que, en ésta versión, “nos acompañan 16 compañías de 10 países y nueve invitados especiales. A lo largo de su desarrollo disfrutaremos de 86 funciones, además de títeres, puesta en circulación de obras, exposiciones, conferencias y documentales”.
Agradeció, e especial al Ministro de Cultura, José Antonio Rodríguez por el apoyo al evento, al equipo organizador del FITE que hace siempre posible la magia; a la Dirección General de Bellas Artes y a todas las demás instituciones que colaboraron en forma desinteresada en favor del montaje del evento.
Correspondió al ministro Rodríguez y a Karina noble y Dustin Muñoz entregar placas de reconocimientos Ángel Haché, en la persona de su viuda, la pintora Elsa Núñez, por más de 50 años dedicados a las artes escénicas como actor y director Teatral.
Asimismo, fueron distinguidos los ex directores de la Compañía Nacional de Teatro María Castillo, Elvira Taveras, Iván García Guerra, Franklin Domínguez y Flor de Bethania Abreu. Este último reconocimiento lo recibió Wilson Ureña.
Finalmente, fueron resaltados por su trabajo los actores y actrices de la Compañía Nacional de Teatro.
Con voz entregar placas de reconocimiento a directores y dramaturgos, entre los que se cita a Reynaldo Disla, Giovanny Cruz, y a la Compañía Nacional de Teatro y a sus exdirectores.
