Diputado del Frente Amplio aboga por pacto nacional para escoger miembros de la JCE

Santo Domingo.-El diputado del Frente Amplio, Fidel Santana, planteó este viernes la concertación de un pacto nacional para escoger los miembros titulares y suplentes de la Junta Central Electoral (JCE) y de la Cámara de Cuentas, los cuales actúen con equidad e imparcialidad.
El legislador entiende que ese, es el principal desafió que tienen los partidos de oposición, para evitar que los actores se inclinen hacia un solo lado y ejerzan control y dependencia de esas instituciones públicas de los poderes constituidos.
Manifestó que el país requieres de un acuerdo de nación, tras afirmar que no se trata, que el Partido de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD) y tiene la mayoría en las cámaras legislativas y que pueda imponer a quien quiera en la JCE y en las demás altas cortes.
“Se trata primero, de un acuerdo entre los actores políticos y de la sociedad, que luego venga a formalizarse a través de las cámaras legislativas”, apuntó el legislador por el Frente Amplio.
El legislador cuando se le preguntó si presentarían candidatos a esas instancias públicas, dijo que evaluarían las perspectivas de presentarlo.
“Pero si se va a imponer por mayoría mecánica no hacemos nada con presentar candidatos y no sería más que una burla”, subrayo el legislador.
Entiende que los perfiles de las personas que deben ir a esas posiciones, tienen que ser personas equilibradas, independientes, honestas con una trayectoria de vida vinculada al respeto por las leyes y la democracia.
Mientras que el vocero de los diputados del Partido Revolucionario Dominicano (PRD), Radhamés González, dijo estar de acuerdo con algunos señalamiento de la sociedad civil de que los nuevos miembros de la JCE, independientemente estén vinculados a partidos políticos, los cuales deben ser personas probos, con credibilidad ante la sociedad dominicana.
Sostuvo que algunos de los actuales titulares de la JCE pueden repetir en su posición, y no necesariamente todos.
Tras alegar que “el último tramo del desempeño del organismo comicial estuvo muy cuestionado, “y no se trata de que le guste o no. Es problema que nosotros estamos en la obligación de mandar una señal que la sociedad se sienta bien representado”.
En cuanto la Cámara de Cuentas, dijo que la próxima semana los diputados se proponen sesionar, porque constitucionalmente es necesario comenzar a recibir las ternas con lo que tiene ver con ese organismo fiscalizador de los fondos públicos.
A su juicio, dijo que los actuales integrantes de la Cámara de Cuentas no han jugado su papel, para la cual fueron seleccionados.
En ese sentido, dijo que la Cámara de Diputados tratará de conformar ternas de personas honorables pero desvinculadas del quehacer político en la República Dominicana.
Añadió que uno de ellos está sometido al a justicia, porque la comisión de Asuntos Municipales de la Cámara de Baja inició el proceso, y eso no puede ser.
