Policia Nacional afirma se vió precisada a dispersar marcha de diputado Pedro Botello
La Romana.- La Dirección Regional Este de la Policía Nacional aclaró este jueves que se vio en la necesidad de dispersar una concentración encabezada por el diputado Pedro Botello por violar el distanciamiento físico, según explicó el general Francisco Romen López comandante de la zona.
El general López dijo que el diputado Pedro Botello convocó en las inmediaciones del parque Duarte a ciudadanos quienes se aglomeraron alrededor de 70 personas, violando así el distanciamiento social establecido por decreto presidencial 136-20 por la pandemia del COVID-19 y el uso de mascarilla.
Cuando se le solicitó la dispersión para evitar el posible contagio por coronavirus estos reaccionaron airados enfrentando las patrullas, viéndose nuestros agentes en la obligación de utilizar bombas lacrimógenas y cartuchos de gomas, explicó.
El comandante regional acusó también al diputado Pedro Botello de romper el retrovisor izquierdo de la unidad policial ficha 5768, ya que se generó una situación porque estos a pesar de la disuasión se volvieron a reunir frente al club Virgilio Castillo (Chola), donde fueron detenidos varias personas y vehículos.
El general Romer López advirtió que no permitirá que las disposiciones establecidas sean violentadas, por lo que exhortó a los ciudadanos evitar las aglomeraciones tal y como dice el Decreto Presidencial.
