Incendio de magnitud afectó marcado modelo de Santiago
Santiago de los Caballeros.- Un incendio de gran magnitud afectó a 60 de los 106 módulos del Mercado Modelo, ubicado en la calle del Sol esquina España, en el centro histórico de esta ciudad.
El siniestro se inició en la madrugada del jueves y fue controlado 12 horas después. hizo movilizar a brigadas de los bomberos, el Sistema 911, el Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias, la Defensa Civil y otros organismos oficiales así como voluntarios de entidades privadas.
Comerciantes calculan que el mismo les provocó pérdidas por más de RD$100 millones.
No fueron reportadas personas muertas ni lesionadas.
