Santo Domingo.- A propósito de la celebración de Nochebuena y Navidad, en que cientos de personas se trasladan al interior del país, el Instituto Nacional de Tránsito y Transporte Terrestre (Intrant) y la Dirección General de Seguridad de Tránsito y Transporte impulsan un amplio operativo de supervisión de neumáticos y frenos de vehículos.
Esta jornada se da especialmente en el transporte interurbano para evitar posibles accidentes que cobren vidas en las carreteras.
Esta jornada viene acompañada de un despliegue de más de 2 mil agentes para velar por la seguridad y que los conductores manejen a una velocidad prudente.
El general de la Policía Francisco Osoria de la Cruz, director general de la Digesett, informó que toman acciones contundentes contra conductores de vehículos pesados que transitan por lugares que les están prohibidos, sin el debido permiso para circulación.
